My top 5 apps for productivity

Productivity tools come in many different forms, and to improve your workflow, they often take a different approach. So I'm not just going to reel off my top 5 apps and help solve some of your issues.

1. Hootsuite

Social networking is a game-changer for companies and individuals. Companies have never had as easy access as they do now to their clients. It's an awesome opportunity, but it comes at a cost: it takes a lot of time to craft social posts and respond to comments.

Fortunately, there are apps out there that make it much less time-intensive to post social media content.

Hootsuite is an app for social media management that allows you to update Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn accounts of your company or even for yourself from the same screen, without logging into each individual platform. You can also respond to comments in the app.

2. HelloSign

HelloSign takes the trouble out of signing contracts by allowing you to sign them electronically. And don't worry, every agreement signed by HelloSign is legally binding.

As an added benefit, your signed contracts are structured within the safe HelloSign system which ensures that you don't have to spend time or space storing physical documents. Simply create an agreement, submit it to the required signatures, and file it for future reference.

3. Dropbox

Having a reliable file-syncing app is indispensable on the iPhone. It gives you access to your most important documents no matter where you are, so if you need proof of address or some other paperwork in a pinch, you can get it within seconds. The very best file-syncing services also offer options to back up photos and videos from your phone automatically, which Dropbox includes. For the iPhone, Dropbox is one of the best file syncing apps because it's fast and easy to use. Dropbox has apps for a variety of platforms.

4. Scanbot Pro

When you have a stack of documents that you need to scan, crop, compile into a single PDF, and send along its way, Scanbot Pro helps you get the whole project done. Scanbot Pro also includes a QR code scanner, barcode scanner, and faxing option.

5. Toggl

Toggl is among the best time-tracking apps, and it stands out on the iPhone for its ease of use. If you need to track time spent in meetings, at a client visit, or while doing anything when you're away from your desk, Toggl is the best app for the job on iPhone. Whether you need to keep tabs on billable hours or simply want to record time on task for your own productivity purposes, it's the app to download.
